This was the annual Polar Bear Grand Tour Toy Run. There was a big winter storm today formed from two weather systems. The result was a lot of rain and wind for half of New Jersey and mixed rain, snow, and sleet elsewhere. There was a good turnout of SUVs and a smattering of motorcycles. The temperature was near 40 degrees in Freehold.

Since this was a toy run, many mascots also joined in the fun and managed to cope in the adverse environment.

First mascot I saw. He decided to wear his see-thru coveralls by Sears.
Yes, there were motorcycles to be seen but most were made by Harley-Davidson.
Just a little spitting rain at the Cabin. The rider on the left rode from the vicinity of the
George Washington Bridge and although there was white stuff there, his main problem
was the wind that was gusting up to 45 mph.
With an empty parking lot behind him, Phil heads in to the Cabin with a gift
for the kids at the Children's Hospital.
Two polar bear mascots sit patiently behind a rain-laden windshield.
They're wearing matching red and blue snowflake caps and scarves by Old Navy.
Mom and pup are dressed for the season in warm, red scarves by Lands End.
This pup is fending off the cold crouched down behind a helmet.
If in doubt that you'll make it to a run, take a sidecar rig. Here's a Ural cartoon you may like (requires Flash).
The toy display. Any riders who were unable to bring a toy today should bring it next time
to the Sweetwater Casino ride.
