March 19, 2006 - Chatterbox, Augusta, NJ

It was cold -- about 30 degrees -- in Freehold but the sun was out. When we got near Augusta, it was getting colder and very cloudy. It looked like snow. In fact, snow pellets started to come down. At the gas station when we were filling up to return to Freehold, the snow pellets started up in earnest. Fortunately, we outran them. There was a really good turnout at the Chatterbox. The restaurant was packed and Polar Bears were chowing down.

Here's a Google Satellite View of the Chatterbox.
Look for a round building in the center of the picture.
Routes 15 and 206 can also be seen intersecting.
You can move the slider up to zoom in even more.
The Chatterbox is round and the bikes park around the building.
Looking the other way.

I came upon a beauty, a Triumph Rocket III, in black.
Another view of the Rocket
Wow! Another Rocket III not far away, in red.
Here's a road test link to learn about this 2300cc machine.

It was very cold. Folks were either inside at the tables or standing around close to the building.
Obviously, this group all came together.
Backroads is back with their go-anywhere BMW.
Ya don't need much to ride Polar Bear. Just a bungee net to hold your stuff and
some Hippo Hands to keep your hands warm. Who needs electric!

The Chatterbox had an appropriate center display of bikes.
Jane, Nancy and a server total oblivious to the fact that a bike hovered above them.
The sign-in table
Polar Bears were just standing around talking inside the restaurant. Hey, it's warm.
