March 25, 2007 - Jenkinson's Pavilion, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ

This was a new stop for the Polar Bears. Jenkinson's Pavilion is a great destination for the Polar Bear Grand Tour. It's right on the boardwalk and beach and plenty big to accommodate us.

The skies were blue and the temperature hovered near 50 degrees.

The parking lot began to fill slowly and then there was a steady stream of Polar Bears, making parking a little more difficult.

Three short videos are included.

Our new destination. I've been here a few times before in the summer.
It felt a little strange walking up the ramp, across the boardwalk and
into Jenkinson's with full winter gear on.
The front parking lot. It was about 11:15 and not many bikes had arrived ... yet.
One of the many groups that form before sign-in opens.
You couldn't miss this Polar Bear clinging to the back of the pillion seat
on Bob Hartpence's bike.
Longingly looking for the boss.
I could fall asleep waiting for that guy.
Ahh ... attention again!

Barbara explains just what the Polar Bear Grand Tour is all about.
View out the window behind the sign-in area: beach, ocean, and sky
Mack was walking in from the beach when I surprised him.
Liz and Charlie headed into sign-in.
Parking is filling up.
I saw quite a few sportbikes today including one large group.
This group rode a variety of bikes.
I think the locals didn't know what to make of the Polar Bears.
To get 60 points, you don't want to see too many of those yellow lines
in the sign-in book ... unless you're riding in from New Hampshire.
