Rosemarie and I came by car today, straight down the GSP. We saw almost no bikes on the road. When we arrived at about 11:45 we found that we were one of the last few to arrive. Everyone was here. The weather was perfect with a somewhat strong wind along the beach area. The police were there watching and talking. Heavy equipment was parked on a few streets but motorcycles gravitated close to the equipment to stay out of harms way. You'll see some shots of the bikes parked under the equipment. It was Halloween but I didn't see a lot of costumes. Sign-in was frantic at first. After I finished taking pictures and videos, we headed down to Uncle Bill's Pancake House with Debbie and Clyde for brunch. I saw many bikes parked on Beach Avenue while their riders were either eating or walking on the boardwalk along the ocean. It was an excellent start to the 2010-2011 Polar Bear Grand Tour season.
By the way, the Polar Bear Grand Tour is now on Facebook. See below.
