I'm in Florida today.

The run today was to Cape May V.F.W. - Cape May, NJ on April 30, 2017.

It was the 24th run of the 2016-2017 season.

Guest photographers today were Dave Thompson, Gary Rosen, and Bernie Walsh. There are a lot of pictures.

If you took any pictures or videos for this run, please email them to me at walter@motorcycleviews.com and I'll place them on this website.

Note: We now have a special picture gallery on my Motorcycle Views website. It's strictly for Polar Bear Grand Tour riders. Send me a picture of your motorcycle and yourself and get included in the gallery.

If you see one of our photographers, Bernie Walsh, Dave Thompson, or Gary Rosen, taking pictures, tell them you'd like to have your picture taken for the Polar Bear Picture Gallery. They will tell me which photos are also for the gallery. It will be up to you to contact me with information on year, make, model, and a short description along with your name.

I will also try to put a personal request to you under your picture if I see a picture of you and your motorcycle that looks posed. If you respond, I'll place the picture in the gallery.

Check out Polar Bear Grand Tour Motorcycle Riders for more details on how to submit your picture. ~ Walter

My memoir, Normal Secrets, has been released and is now available on Amazon as a paperback edition and a Kindle edition. It already has two 5-Star reviews on Amazon! An audiobook edition is planned for summer 2017.

I started thinking about this memoir more than a year ago and have been writing almost full-time on it for all of 2016 and part of 2017. It covers much of my life and reveals family secrets that had been hidden from me. It took the death of my father to set me in action trying to dig out the secrets and either prove or disprove them. It took me seven years to prove the biggest secret of all. I was 61 years old at that time.

You'll also find out how fate changed my course in life many times as I struggled to find out who I was, what I wanted to do, who I would love, how I came to become both a motorcyclist and a moto-journalist, and how I came to become an author in my late seventies.

It's a true story, loaded with secrets, that begins in the Midwest and spans more than a hundred years. I didn't think I had any secrets in my life, but I was wrong. Maybe reading this memoir, you will begin to wonder if there are also secrets in your life. You'll read how I uncovered my secrets. I wish you good luck, patience, and fortitude if you have to do your own search. (Hint: Make sure you talk to as many family members as you can and try to find at least one family member who has kept a family tree.)

Click the cover, above to see the book on Amazon. You can then read the first five chapters by clicking "Look inside."

To My Fellow Polar Bear Grand Tour Members:

We have come to the end of the Polar Bear Grand Tour season for 2016-2017. (There is still the Get-Together at the Pic-A-Lilli Inn on May 6, 2017.) I want to take this opportunity to thank Bernard Walsh, Dave Thompson, Gary Rosen, and John M. Bittner for the great pictures and videos they supplied me this year. I admit that I had plenty to choose from and I was a bit choosy trying to keep the total each week to a manageable level.

I will begin working on my Best Pictures of the Polar Bear Grand Tour 2016-2017 season soon so check for that by the end of May, 2017.

Walter
