Subject: Announcements, rules and ride schedule for 2025-2026 Riding Season
I hope everyone is having a great summer and you are ready to see your Polar Bear friends again.
I want to thank Charles Miele and Sal Spinale, our ride coordinators, for coming up with another site to replace Stars and Stripes Harley. Please welcome newcomer Steakouts Homeplate on March 08, 2026.
Steve Obermeler and Rob Schanbacherour will continue as our quartermasters for the 20255/2026 riding season. They will be ordering PBGT tees and sweatshirts on the special order basis this season and will try to have them ready for O'Connors on December 7, 2025.Please welcome Mike Tirrell to the sign-in staff and I want to thank tPat Bachota for her continuing support to the Polar Bears when they give her time off from her Sunday job.
There are a couple of small changes to the rules and schedule:
- We wll continue the "selfie" and "car" rules both pernit the members to use these rules just three times.
- Rule 8 has added the Bucks County HOG Covered Bridge Poker Run and the Ramapo 500 Motorcycle Tour opportunities to earn extra points during the summer.
- Due to a lack of attendance on some of our Sunday ride dates, Montgomeryville Cycle will continue to be on Saturday. If you cannot make the Saturday ride, then you can still go on Sunday, but the store will not be open. Send a selfie and get full credit (without a selfie charge).
- In 2025, we moved the ride to Pic-A-Lilli to the last week for a couple of reasons. We are also working with Bonnie to bring back the Year-End picnic so watch your email for details.
Sadly, we lost two long time mebers this last summer. Sal Simoneti had passed on June 17, 2025 and Michael Raevis passed on August 14, 2025. Please keep their families in your prayers.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we could always use a couple more volunteers so that we don't burn out the existing staff. If you think you would like to volunteer, please contact me and let me know what you would like to help with. Except for the Sign-in staff, the staff members work on their own schedule and time-line.
And don't forget to give me your email address so you can stay up-to-date on any changes going on.
All my best,
Jim Conway

The Polar Bear Grand Tour consists of 150 motorcycle riders who ride their motorcycles throughout the winter
season each Sunday to points within NJ, NY, PA, DE, and CT. These polar bear riders have nothing to do with
the other polar bears who are often found in the water in groups for special occasions. The Polar Bear Grand Tour Chairman is Jim Conway. He may be reached at jconway1001@gmail.com
Polar Bear statues depicted on this Web site were part of a private collection by Jane Ann Kern. Jane, my wife of 47 years and Polar Bear rider of her own trike, died August 31, 2008 in an automobile accident.
